At the Chicago South Side Birth Center, we have moved past the “thought” phase. Construction is officially underway. Our doors are opening in early 2027 — and when they do, families on the South Side will no longer have to ride two or three buses to access the reproductive care they deserve.
Our building is only the beginning. What will make this birth center transformative isn't the bricks and mortar — it's the midwives, the lactation consultants, the community health educators, and the care teams who will show up every day to meet families with clinical excellence, cultural grounding, and genuine dignity. That ongoing care is powered by people like you. That's why we created The Pollinator's Circle — a collective of monthly supporters dedicated to sustaining the future of Black maternal health on the South Side, year after year.
Why monthly? Because the families we serve need consistent, reliable care. A recurring gift means a new mom can follow up with a lactation consultant without worrying about cost. It means a midwife can attend a birth this month and next month. It means our doors stay open.
Our goal is to welcome 50 Founding Members into the Pollinator's Circle by April 30.
